This year, marks the 49th anniversary of the Kwanzaa holiday. In celebration of this important, non-denominational holiday, Cultural Caravan TV proudly presents highlights from Dr. Karenga's annual Kwanzaa address, which was made during the 48th anniversary program last December. Dr. Karenga is professor and chair of Africana Studies at California State University, Long Beach. An activist-scholar of national and international recognition, Dr. Karenga has had a far-reaching effect on Black intellectual and political culture since the 1960s.His stirring message is as timely now as it was then. We invite you to join us, especially if you're unable to make it to any of the Kwanzaa activities that will occurred throughout the city this weekend. This episode will air on Sunday, December 27, from 5:30pm to 6pm on NYC-Life Channel 25 and Channel 22. Join us!!!
